Women in L&D is a large group with very diverse needs. This conversation applies an intersectional perspective that advances our ability to support women. In this session, we will explore social identities and how they can provide or prevent access to opportunity. Then we will discuss the concept of intersectionality, from its historical origins to contemporary context. Then we’ll wrap with something we can all do: microaffirmations, what they are, how they reduce harm, and how they impact women.
