In this session, Olivia Johns explores the vital importance of project management for instructional designers, drawing from her experience with the Student Sunrise Project at Washington University in St. Louis. Tasked with developing nearly 200 deliverables, including eLearnings, reference guides, tutorials, video demonstrations, and instructor-led training, Olivia shares the process she helped create to train students, faculty, and staff as end users for the new Workday Student system. Set to replace the current student information system, Workday Student will support academic operations starting in 2024-2025. The session highlights how an organized, well-maintained business process is key to designing effective courses, ensuring that each training meets the diverse needs of end users and aligns with project goals.
